What is the Green team

First, last, most important of all - "Green team" is an idea! The idea that the actions of citizens can be different. Yes topics of interest may be different.

We are convinced that volunteer engagement can be a quality basis for healthy civic activism, and thus civic responsibility. We live in times where official policies often have different priorities compared to the priorities of citizens, so instead of "arms crossed", in accordance with our capabilities, we give our contribution to achieving positive change.

Working principle

Green team Novi Grad is registered as a non-governmental organization in accordance with the applicable laws that define the area.

We are primarily committed to environmental protection, youth, socially useful activism as well as accompanying processes that directly or indirectly contribute to the quality of life of citizens.

Since we have been operating primarily in the area of the Novi Grad region since 2015, at the beginning of 2022, in accordance with the growing needs after the reorganization, we are formally expanding our activities to the entire northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Program Rijeka

Program Rijeka je jedinstven pilot program koji objedinjuje afirmisanje saradnji i osnaživanje mladih iz različitih lokalnih zajednica, podršku zajedničkim ekološkim i društveno odgovornim angažmanima, kao i zajedničkom učenju, vodeći se principom i potrebom za direktno uključivanje mladih u dostizanje ciljeva održivog razvoja.

Riječ je o programu u koji su pretočena iskustva volontera koji su više od deceniju radili na na sličnim volonterskim programima, zajedno sa željom da se kreira model podrške mladima.

Slučaj Trgovska gora

Slučaj Trgovska gora predstavlja najveći ekološki problem regije. Namjera da se radioaktivni otpadi iz nuklearne elektrane Krško, zajedno sa čitavim nizom drugih opasnih otpada sa teritorije Republike Hrvatske smješta na neadekvatnu lokaciju u graničnom području svije zemlje, neposredno uz rijeku Unu predstavlja prijetnju po stanovništvo regije, prijetnju po prirodu, ali i prijetnju i po generacije koje još uvijek nisu ni rođene.

Iz tog razloga, Green Team već punih 9 godina, posvećeno radi na temi, dajući svoj doprinos u odbrani interesa građana, ali i insistirajući da donosioci odluka rade svoj posao - jer ukoliko donosioci odluka rade svoj posao, neminovno će stajati uz građane koji ne žele snositi nametnute rizike koje nosi smještanje nuklearnog objekta na neprihvatljivu lokaciju, odnosno kompleksa u kom bi bili smješteni radioaktivni i drugih opasni otpadi.
